Michael Kelly Studio Quilt 6 String Reviews 5

I've been playing for over 40 years. I currently own about a dozen guitars of various types and manufacturers.

I first spotted one on the internet, but I purchased it from Mandolins and More (absolutlely the best!!). I paid $470 including a MK HSC. I loved the looks at first, but after playing it, I've found it has a real kick.

The looks are outstanding. The fit and finish is perfect. The set up from the factory is great. The only thing I did is changed to Elixer Custom Light strings. That improved the tone significantly.

There is nothing to dislike!!!

Spruce top, quilt maple back and sides. Fishman EQ (that rocks). Its a medium body (hence the studio ) cutaway.

I highly recomend this guitar. Mine is a Phoenix model, so it has a flame-like inlay on the fretboard. The quality and workmanship is top notch. A couple of guys are selling these on ebay (with case) for over $500. I think I got a great deal. I'm thinking about buyuing an MK Stage Dreanaught next!!
